Relative of Ribes in the saxifrage family. Canes erect 1-2m tall. Berries round, 12 mm; ripe red, tart sweet; good tart taste green near ripe enjoyed by ladies, suite for fresh market, making jams and wins. Flower May-June, ripe July-August.


This berry have both wild varieties and cultivated vareties. The wild varieties are spread unconcentrate and have no commerce quantities. Cultivated variety come from the wild one and the yieldout out are around 100 tons each year. Most of it used for fresh market.
